Not sure what to say?

Pat,

My earliest memories of Al were as your fiance, the person who gave you that huge diamond which we, in
your geometry class, couldn't ignore! How lucky we considered you back then, to have in your life a man who showered you this way. Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Nettles. He was the Assistant Manager for my Little League baseball team about 35 years ago. Was a great coach, mentor and person. So glad to have crossed his path in life. Sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Pat,

Francine and I are truly saddened by your loss. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

AL's prose was the measured chaperone which rode herd on our daily and Sunday news columns over four decades.
During his long Union Leader career, assign him to a Little League game...a Red Sox playoff game...a...

our deepest sympathy Mary, Pat,Mathieu and meghan, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
