Not sure what to say?

Al and Maryanne lived right around the corner from us. They were good friends always willing to talk, have a beer or wine or discuss the day´s events. We enjoyed Al´s gardens and they enjoyed visiting ours. We spent many nights talking on their deck or our patio. We had many friendly lunches and dinners together. We miss them dearly.

So saddened to get the news about my friend, Al. We had great years working together years ago with Westinghouse Furniture. We talked a few years ago sharing old memories about good times. My sympathy to the Family. He was a great man and I was fortunate to be able to call him a friend.

My sympathies and prayers to MaryAnn and all of the Port family. From Phyllis Lanning (a friend from Kentwood times)

I worked on Al and Mary Ann´s home in Kentwood over the years and became a friend to these wonderful people . They even would take time to watch Dylan play baseball behind st. Mary Magdalene . I would love talking to Al he was a great listener and choose all his words well . Loved to hear about my grandchildren and was just one of the most memorable men I have met . Good ole Al Port , hit them straight Al and don´t forget to water your heavenly flowers.

Our sincere condolences to the family. We loved Al and Maryann as friends and great neighbors for over 40 years. We especially enjoyed the camaraderie over meals, drinks, kids´ activities, outings and sharing gardening tips. He and Maryann were always welcoming and supportive. Al certainly earned his place in heaven.
