I never met Al I am daughter of Robert Shirley Schmelcher my parents are close friends with Al they stayed at his home

I just learned of Al's passing as I wanted to phone him to wish him a Happy Thanksgiving. I knew Al as a fellow radio ham for a number of years and visited him at his home on several occasions. He was a great friend, a gentleman, and a talented musician.

Al came to mind today after so many years..... let's just say in the 1980's I had the privilege of seeing him play many times. What a wonderful man and so talented. May he rest in peace.
