Not sure what to say?

Dr. Roberts was a very great and devoted professor on Howard's campus. I loved his class and I loved him. He was dedicated to ensuring that all his students suceeded inside and outside of his class. I thank him for all the things he taught me. My heart goes out to all of his family, all his students, co-workers, and anyone that new him. He truly was a special man.
God be with you Dr. Roberts

Dr. Albert Roberts was a great and wonderful man. It is still hard to believe that he is no longer here in the flesh, but one thing that consoles me is his everlasting presence at Howard University, specifically in the Psychology Department. As his student and mentee, Dr. Roberts provided me with so much guidance and always made himself available and I will be forever thankful for that. Being the first in the family to go to school made it hard to adjust, but he was always there to tell me...

Words cannot express how much I am saddened by the passing of such a great man. I have known Dr. Roberts since I was an undergraduate at Howard, and he has nurtured me right through my first years of graduate school. As I look over my years with him, I will always remember the laughter that we shared together and his unending support. Those are my fondest memories. Although I still remain in denial about his departure at times, I am comforted by knowing that he has left a great legacy behind....

To the Roberts Family, I will always hold you in my prayers. I remember when I came to Howard in the Developmental Program, Dr. Roberts was my advisor. We would often talk about Barbados and its cultural characteristics especially its fine cuisine and the by-products of sugar cane! We always had a great relationship in which I could express my feelings as well as his openly. I will always remember provocative style of communication which was a facade of gentleness. After signing off on my...

To Joyce and her two boys,

I think that Al was a hard worker and was fair. I hope saying this makes you feel a tiny bit better.

To Alma Roberts and especially to all of the Roberts' Sisters: I express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your brother who treated me like a little sister when I lived in Maryland. If you will remember, Al's kindness extended to me to include me in annual holiday celebrations in Baltimore, MD. A mass will be celebrate in his honor at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Shreveport, LA. Peace and Love, Stay strong, Sincerely, Linda J. Hartwell

I will always remember Al for his kindness and generosity toward everyone he met. He gave his time, his energy, his spirit, and anything else he had to anyone who needed it. When I was a newly hired professor at Howard, he gave me his office because he said I needed a place to get work done. This left him with no place to escape the pressures of running a department. He gave away his sanctuary because he felt someone needed it more, and he would not take it back. We can never pay Al back for...

Al was very instrumental in getting me to come to Howard. Based on his encouraging words and support, I made the life-changing decision to resign from a faculty position in California to join the faculty of Howard. My ideas and thoughts of Howard are inextricably linked to my thoughts of Al. He will be remembered fondly and deeply missed.

I just found out about Dr. Roberts' death and am still in shock over the news. I send my deepest condolences to his family. He was my favorite professor and just recently wrote a recommendation letter for me to enter a graduate program at Howard. He really cared and supported his students. He will be greatly missed.
