SANTAMARIA, Albert J. Jr. Age 77, of Lexington, MA. He was a loving and devoted husband of 54 years to Dianne Santamaria. He passed away peacefully, at his home, on October 23, 2024. Born on February 3, 1947, to Albert and Florence Santamaria, Albert was born and raised in Belmont, MA, before moving to Lexington in 1973.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Albert and his fiancée, Tricia Bouchie and her children, Erin, Ryan and Samantha of Wilbraham, MA, Adrienne (Santamaria) Ortyl and her husband, Michael of Lexington, MA, Michael and his wife, Nicole of Burlington, MA; his beloved grandchildren, Abbie and Sophie Ortyl of Lexington, MA, and Michael, Bella and Anni Santamaria of Burlington, MA; his sister, Linda (Santamaria) DaCorta and her husband, Stephen of South Boston, MA; his brother, Peter and his wife, Sandra of Tewksbury, MA; brother-in-law, James DiSilva and his wife, Maureen of Lexington, MA; his sisters-in-law, Valerie DiSilva of Lexington, MA, Elaine McCullough of Lexington, MA, Maryanne Belanger and her husband, William of Winchester, MA and Joannie Woods and her partner, Brian Toomey of Woburn, MA; as well as his many treasured nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Florence; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Eleanor DiSilva; brother, Edward of Belmont, MA; and brothers-in-law, Thomas DiSilva and Robert McCullough both of Lexington, MA.
Albert was a naturally caring, kind and generous person. He was someone who celebrated with you in good times; but was also someone you could lean on in trying times. He shared his quick wit and caring nature with all around him. In addition to spending time with his cherished family, Albert enjoyed playing racquetball, golf and cards with family and friends. He worked for many years with his family at the DiSilva Companies and was an active member of Oakley Country Club. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 29, at 9:00 a.m., at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., LEXINGTON. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Brigid Church, 2001 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at a later date.
