Albert "Popeye" Saylor, 72, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Harlan, Kentucky on April 19, 1941, son of the late Walter and Verna Hopkins Saylor. He was a farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva Payne Saylor, a son, Doug & (Melissa) Saylor of Eubank, three daughters, Tammy & (Junior) Ison, Pamela Meece and her finance` (Paul) and Patricia & (Phillip) Witt, all of Eubank, eight brothers, J.W. Saylor of Indiana, Fred Saylor of Ohio, Orbin Saylor of Ohio, Paul Saylor of Ohio, Glen Saylor of Florida, Clarence Saylor of Corbin, KY, Larry Saylor of Somerset and Billy Joe Saylor of Lexington, KY, one sister, Doris Jean Owens of Brodhead, KY, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Allen Saylor and Michael David Saylor, two daughters, Vernie Susan Saylor and Geneva Ann Saylor, two brothers, Bob Saylor and Charlie Saylor and one sister, Goldie Pittman.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Bullock and Bro. Bradley Goforth officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

I am sorry to hear about Popeye passing away I worked with him back in mid 1970's at a sawmill and our prayer is with his family & friends
