My dear Professor Shansky, I cannot believe that you are gone; only recently having learned of your passing. I will never forget the wonderful stories that you told us of your travels to India, Japan, and the Taj Mahal; your stories of playing the sitar, guitar, and enjoying the church bells. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. Dr. Shansky was my philosophy professor when I was a student at NCC. He was among my favorite teachers. His extensive knowledge of EVERYTHING was surpassed only by his compassion. I have thought of him often and fondly over the intervening years and count myself blessed for having made his acquaintance. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
