Albert Shaw

I had the precious priviledge of making Mr Shaws aquaintance during my formative years in Quito`s Alliance Academy (1974-1977). He was my Bible teacher, however my fondest memories are from some CCS (Christian Service Outreach) trips to the deep jungle (limoncocha). Mr Shaw would be up before dawn to study scripture, and then he took me for a pre-dawn run (!) through jungle trails that I will recall and talk about as long as I remain on this earth. I have only the vaguest memories from my earliest childhood, but I know that the life of Al Shaw has had a deep impact on mine. My mother tells me that I would run to her and say "AlBernice is here, AlBernice is here!" when Al and Bernice would come to take us to bible study. Al and Bernice Shaw never showed anything but love and kindness to my family and me, and for that I will always remember him well.
