Albert Tu Eulogy
Dr. Albert Hoang Thanh Son Tu is dead. The husband of Mai Huong, father of David, Michael, and Michelle, son to Joseph and Trang, and my brother, aged 43 years, is no more. I could never have even imagined saying those words. The possibility is so fantastic and unimaginable, that even now it defies belief. And yet somehow, it has come to pass.
We have all shed tears this past week over this tragedy. We cry and we weep, we lay bare the anguish that is in...

Dear Albert,
The phone rang. The UserID showed your Dad's name. I was about to ask him if he was still in Kentucky or back home in Virginia when I noted the somber tone of his voice. He was apparently holding back emotions; he simply said "I want to let you know that Albert passed away." I was completely in shock. All I could do was to muster up some words of sympathy with your Dad and I asked him how your Mom was holding up. Your Mom came to the phone and she was all in tears. Again...

I knew Albert in his Virginia years--we attended the same high school and college. I will remember him for his intelligence, humor, and his great listening skills. My prayers are with his family at this sad time. My deepest sympathy.

Mai Huong,
I just found out about Albert's passing. We had lost touch over the years, but I have great memories of high school and college with Albert. And, of course, your wedding in Portland and the reception back in DC. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your kids. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
