Read MorePrayers and sorrow fill my heart as I learn of Bert's passing. I moved to Harlingen in my Junior year and was fortunate to be friends with Bert. A group of 5 or 6 of us graduated and played together. Many fun times at the beach. I continue to treasure the 3 pieces of art work given to me by Bert. His memory will live on in them. Marcella

I'm saddened to hear of Bert's passing. He was a good man who was very thoughtful and caring. I lost touch with him when he moved from the Island but I still remember him well. Thanks, Florence for all you did. We should all be so lucky.
