Not sure what to say?

I remember him when my first wife and I rented an apartment in Merced. Al and his wife, cannot remember her name (maybe Carol?, were our neighbors. I was an ex-Army Sergeant readjusting to life after a tour in Okinawa and Vietnam. Al and I used to run in the mornings at a school track across the street from our apartment. This was 1969-1970. Always thought it was cool to be on a first name basis with a Captain. Nice guy! Just a flash in time. Wish I could have known him better. ...

I knew him as Butchie. I was his first grade girlfriend and the only girl that was invited to his birthday party. We both lived in the same neighborhood, Sun Hill, in Chester, Pa. He was such a sweetie, nice to know that he led such a full life and that he had family and friends that loved him so much. RIP Butchie. Sincerely, Diane Booth Wonderly

Rest In Peace, Al! You have deserved it! It was an honor to have served alongside you.
