Click here for tribute videoAlbert J. Van Dale Jr., “Boody”, 71, of Pawtucket, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. He was the husband of Carol (McDonald) Laliberte-Van Dale. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Morin) Van Dale. Albert was an army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 602, the AmVets, Post 33, and a lifetime member of Jacque Cartier Society where he served as treasurer.  He was a welder for Durastone for many years before retiring in 2005. Recently a flag was flown over Afghanistan in honor of his service to our country which will be presented at a later date to his daughter. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Senior Master Sgt. Wendy Bannon and her husband Senior Master Sgt. Michael Bannon who is currently deployed in Afghanistan, two step-children, Christine Motta and Francis Laliberte, a sister, Diane Cooper, two step-grandchildren, Kasey and Karly Laliberte, and two nephews, Todd and Sean Sankey. He was the father of the late Renee Van Dale. Relatives and friends are invited to a Service Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:00am in the Costigan-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday 9-11am, prior to the service.
