Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Wolf, I just heard about your loss. I am so sorry. Dr. Wolf was such a nice man and you were such a cute couple! I missed seeing you both this year at the Charlotte Philharmonic concerts. It has been a sad year for all of us! Mo Diaz

Alston,
Hugh and I are so very sorry to learn of Allen's passing. We always enjoyed being in his company whether we dropped in at your house or were invited to one of your memorable parties. We enjoyed our days with both of you in Mecklenburg Hounds. Allen will be greatly missed. You have our sincere condolences.

To Alston and your family,
You are all so special to us and we have many memories of Allen. He and you joined our bridge group and helped set up a handicap system using his computer knowledge and his encouragement. We enjoyed dinner invites or basketball together and sharing grandkid and cruise stories.
We are sorry we missed the memorials for him but we glad we were allowed to visit with him early November and eat key lime pie. He is greatly missed by us. Our prayers are with...

Mrs. Wolf,
I am so very sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure to know you both from the many years at the Hornet games and more recently the Bobcat games. (Bobby Bass Show Pro Event Staff)

Austin,
It was always a pleasure to play bridge against Allen and you. You both were such students of the game that you appreciated a good play or defense whether it was by your partner or an opponent. We hope to see you again soon at the bridge table.

I was so sorry to hear of Allen's passing. He was a prize person and I have many fond memories of him going back to the days of the Mecklenburg Hunt Club and NCDCTA. He had an innate ability to excel at whatever he tackled and was a wonderful person and friend. He shall be missed by all of us who had the pleasure to know him.

Perhaps the knowledge that so many people care will ease the burden of your grief, Alston, and that of your family. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to...

Although I've only met Mr. Allen once, I have such fond memories of the night that he, Ms. Alston, Samm, my husband, Joey, and I met for dinner at 88 China Bistro two years ago. I remember Mr. Allen as a quiet man, yet absolutely hilarious when he had something to add to the conversation. I also remember Mr. Allen as a great man. Specifically, a great man to his wife, Ms. Alston. I could tell, from the several hours we had at 88 China Bistro and then later at another restaurant just for...

I read the obit. and realized that his
paternal grandmother was a Vaughan, and that he was a cousin. I am his same age and only wish I could have known him. I am sad to have missed him. Sincerely,
Faye Vaughan Ford

Dear Alston and Family,

We wish you our sincerest condolences. Allen was "all things to all people". He was a plesasure to bump into at the store, see at the bridge table and listen to his wisdom.
