I will never forget when out of the blue, Al reached out to me, through an Email. Till then I had no idea that my cousin was living in DC. Shortly after that, he and Christine, visited us in Bogota, where we were really able to connect. Sadly, shortly after that visit, Al passed away. I will always cherish the time I was able to spend with him and be in contact with him.

I have the fondest memory of my cousin Al. Thanks to Al, he located me and then he and Christine visited me and Terry in Bogotá. Even though their visit was a short one, we will always cherish it. Al will always have a special place in our hearts, and so does Christine. We look forward to meeting up again, in heaven, in the future.

Kris: The time is always so difficult with your Al gone. Be strong and know that John and I loved both Al and You. He thought of you as his love of his life. Always hold that close to your heart. May time bring kindness to your every day and know that he would want you to be safe and happy.
From an admirer.

I just learned of Al's passing and must say that I will miss his wit, his intelligence, and his kindness. He had such a great soul and never failed to keep in touch with a quick note or a fun bit of back and forth banter about one topic or another. I am very sorry to have to say goodbye to such a great person. Rest in peace, Al.

Dear Kris, James, and Sarah, Al was a person who took great pride in all that he did and especially his family. He was positive, encouraging, upbeat, kind, and caring. He was always the first to check on my status down here in the Keys when a storm was approaching. Who will check on me now?
Over the years, his friendship and genuine care for others was priceless.
His was a life well lived, he has left a long legacy and an indelible presence in all of lives. He will be very much...

Dear Kristine and Family,
Al was a wonderful friend. When I think of Al I will always remember him as a very gentle and humble spirit. Over the 20 years that I knew Al, he was always kind, respectful and courteous. He will be missed.
At this time of mourning and celebration, please let your hearts be filled with the joy and peace that he is surely experiencing in heaven.

Dear Kristine, James, Sarah, and grandchildren
We are holding you in our hearts as you grieve the passing of your precious Al. How blessed you all are to have had him in your lives, and for that much thanks is given. I know you will miss him greatly. I will always appreciate that it was Al and Kristine who introduced us to singing the "Messiah" at NPC. So I feel it is apt to quote the Episcopal funeral mass: "Even at the grave, we sing Alleluia, Alleluia". May angels speed...
