Not sure what to say?

Bert, you were like the mom I lost many years ago. We were very happy to have you live with us for a number of years and very empty when you had to leave. We are again very sad and empty.

We miss you very much and will love you always.

As a young couple who moved from Oswego back to Middletown, Mr. & Mrs. Diaz rented their upstairs apartment to us. They made us part of their family, therefore, encouraging us to stay for 5 yrs. We still have the pewter lamp they gave us when we moved into our new home in '72. We missed them dearly and visited often when we were in town. On his way to high school, Edward drove me to my teaching job at St. Joseph's every morning. I remember how Mrs. Diaz use to iron Cindy's hair straight...

Dear Bert - I knew you mostly as Ed's mom, but I remember your wicked wit, your unabashed personality, and the way you could always find the four-leaf clovers! I especially remember that you treated me as a friend. I am so sad that you had to leave this world, but glad you are finally reunited with John.

Bert, you will always be in my heart. We became friends through Cynthia and Ernie, and, I will never forget the week I spent with you. We talked, we laughed, we played. You were always special to me, and, I too missed you when you moved to Seattle and will always remember you.

Grandma you will be always in our hearts. Much love, Dagan

Bert and John were wonderful people. They used to have my husband and I stay in their guest room when we visited Vicki. It meant so much to us to know they were always available for Vicki and the girls. I am sorry to hear of her loss but glad that they are reunited.

Mom, please know in your heart how dear you are to me. I cannot thank you enough for being my Mother and for being my friend. It's hard to think of life without you. You gave Pop the greatest gift of all by joining him on his Birthday. I love you very much.

Arms of the Angel

This girl was my hero. I spent so much of my life with her and so many of my most valuable memories were spent with her. I remember the times we went to the library, the sleepovers, the day I spent with her when my sisters were born, the long talks we had over lunch a few days a week, everything. I remember the day she moved to Seattle and on that day I learned the true meaning of you never know what you've got until its gone. It broke my heart, but I tried the best I could to keep in touch...
