Not sure what to say?

I have had the pleasure of knowing Alberta since moving to Tigard over 25 years ago and being in her Ward for many of those years. My children grew up listening to her stories. I was also closely aquainted with a lady her age who took ballroom dance lessons from the same teacher. She passed
away at about the same age 2 years ago. Alberta was a great lady and wonderful LDS example to all who knew her. I and my family were blessed to be in her company.

I was so sad when Earline called and told me of the
passing of her Mom. Our families lived next door to each other for years.Alberta was a great neighbor
and very much a part of our lives.
Carolyn Jarman Barber.

We are honored that our son will one day be an Alberta Rider Elementary alum and be able to say he met her when he was just a kindergartner. He still talks about the time "Miss Alberta Rider" came to his school for her 96th birthday party and played a song on the piano.
She will be remembered as a wonderful woman, full of life and a belief in the importance of education. Thank you.
