I have known Uncle Bert since 1987 when he and Aunty Rose opened their home to an unemployed, homeless newly graduate nurse.
He adored his wife and loved his family dearly. He was soft spoken but strong on his religious beliefs. He was quite but when he makes a comment, it was practical and at times funny. He cared for his friends. He went out of his way to help even in a snow storm. He was an avid tennis player and later a golfer.
He enjoyed making memories through his camera.
