It was such a pleasure to have known your father. He will be greatly missed.

Karen and family - please accept our deepest condolences for your loss. My family has so many great memories of times spent with the Badals. My Dad spoke of your father often, he thought he was a very special man. You are in our prayers.

Al was my boss for many years in San Lorenzo. I was a principal at two of his schools. He let me play golf with him once only - I was terrible. He joined our fantasy football league and stuck with us for a long time, up until his passing. He had a great sense of humor, even though he lost lots of money. I am very sad he has left us, and I will miss him very much.

My heart is aching today at the news of Dr.Badal's passing. Karen and I have known each other for 50 years. Her family is so much a part of the fabric of my childhood.

I have so many wonderful memories...playing in the tree fort that her dad built up in the big oak tree down by the creek ... tollhouse cookies her Mom made for us on summer days...drinking Coca-Cola out of the little bottles ...catching frogs and pollywogs and keeping them in her side yard in various stages of...

Well Karen, I know there is not much I can say to take away the sting of your loss. My husband and I sat either next to or behind your dad almost every Sunday at CPC for years. He was one of the kindest, most gentle men I've ever known. I know that he loved you with his whole heart and was very proud of you. I was so sorry to read about the passing of your dear dad. I worked with your mom for many years at the MDRC and had the pleasure of knowing your dad, and siblings. They were all such a kind and loving family. I will be making a donation to the Leukemia Foundation in his memory. My father passed away from Leukemia two years ago. Their memories will always be with us. Sending you my loving thoughts.

Karen, I worked with your Mom at Mt. Diablo Rehab and met your father at the same time. I thought so much of him and I would let him know when my figs were ripe so I could share them. He always told me they were the best. I am so very sorry for all of us to have lost him. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
