I was fortunate to get to know Roy as a customer then as a friend. Roy was a hoot to be around and one of the most creative people that I have ever met. I was blessed with a gift from him, a lantern that I have had hanging in my home for 30 years. He will be missed by many.

Like a comet Blazing 'cross the evening sky Gone too soon Like a rainbow Fading in the twinkling of an eye Gone too soon Shiny and sparkly And splendidly bright Here one day Gone one night Like the loss of sunlight On a cloudy afternoon Gone too soon Like a castle Built upon a sandy beach Gone too soon Like a perfect flower That is just beyond your reach Gone too soon Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight Here one day Gone one night Like a sunset Dying with the rising of the moon Gone too...

If I could talk to you now, I would like to say thank you for your never ending helpful personality and your strong and dedicated honesty and professional work ethic. Your passing is a huge loss to this community and you will be missed and remembered by all.

Wow, a generational business in Fairbanks stretching back to 1914. Our family settled here in 1957 and I grew up in and helped run a family business also. Remember going over to Wilbur´s Sheet Metal to buy and have Roy fabricate items for our business. Truly a nice fellow and know friends and family will miss Roy.

I have such fond memories of Roy whose path growing up in Fairbanks was so parallel to my own. I always enjoyed seeing Roy walking along Gilmore Street and, in later years, getting his sage advice as he saw me working on projects at my Mom's house. A skilled craftsman and great Alaskan. Attached is a photo of what I did not anticipate at the time would be our last visit. Rest in peace Roy. Condolences to the family.

My most sincere condolences to Roy's Family and friends. He was truely one of the "Good Guy's".
