Not sure what to say?

I attended grade school with aldo at St. judes on Detroit's east side. I will always recall his easy approachable manner. kind, made you feel at ease. I recall his warm ways, from being at his home, his sister Amelia, his mom, and the comfort I felt talking with him, whether it was in school, after school, sharing times together. we never saw each other after grade school, but I will always remember his ways and I am sure he carried this warmth throughout his adult life. aldo, bill hickey...

to the colandrea family. I went to grade school with aldo. st.judes. Detroit's east side. I still recall his incredible way of making one feel comfortable and welcome. so easy to approach and share. from his home with Amelia and his mom, to school, to after school times. we never saw or talked after grade school but I recall these things about this great man. I am sure he carried these qualities throughout his adult life. I felt privileged to know him, along with another classmate mentioned...

I worked with Aldo for a short time at Detroit Edison. I was hoping to reconnect only to find he passed. I am so sad to hear this. He was such a wonderful person and made my time at my job so enjoyable. I learned so much about Detroit from him when I worked there. God bless all of you. He will not be forgotten. I'm sorry to have only just heard about Aldo's passing. I had him for two classes at UD Mercy. If it had not been for his approach to teaching Structures I & II, I don't know if I would have made it through the Architecture program. I've done a lot with my degree; it has taken me far in the world and in my career. He was responsible for that. Whenever I think of moment diagrams I hear him say "Remember, right hand rule". We'll miss you Aldo. Our industry and city are just a little darker...

Aldo was a good college friend of my brother's and I got to know him years ago. He was a great guy with a great big laugh. I will miss him.

There are so many good feelings and good stories that come to mind when I think of Aldo that I can hardly believe he's gone. We always had a good laugh whenever got together remarking "I haven't laughed like that in while!" You were a good friend and I will miss you.

Like many others, I was very fortunate to have known and worked with Aldo at DTE Energy. I first met Aldo around 1997 after we had formed a new strategy group and were in need of a way to forecast what a new unregulated industry might look like. A few weeks after describing what we needed, Aldo returned with the most amazing Excel model I had ever seen. We worked together for many years after and I got to know him as both an incredibly talented engineer and mathematician, but a very fun...

My memories of Aldo are varied, starting with the Games Theory class he taught right after I first started with DTE Energy in 1996. Eventually he took me under his wing when I needed a new assignment. I cherish my memories of group lunches, offsites at my cottage, playing Bocce in his backyard, and OctoberFest outings at the Dakota Inn. Aldo had a nose for a fine restaurant. If I was looking for good food, I always knew who to ask. Annual Christmas parties, attending his wedding to...

You were a genius, an engineer, a teacher, a great energy forecaster, a colleague and friend.

I will never forget you. George Ball
