Not sure what to say?

I roomed with Alec the summer before my (and his) Senior year in HS at a UGA basketball camp. He was kind and very humble, despite his immense talent. We both ended up at UGA...Alec as a star athlete, and I a student, but if he ever saw me he would always talk to me. Alec obviously was a star basketball player at UGA, but to me he was more than that. He was a star human being.

Even as a fan of a rival team (Tennessee) I watched Alec play for Georgia and always admired his gifted play and hard work ethic. He's a star now shining in a brighter sky I hope to see one day too. Peace and comfort to his family and those who love him.

Used to watch him play for Heat

I played against Alec in the NBA back in the 90's. I was with the Hornets when he was with the Heat. I still can't believe this he was such a great humble guy! I worked with Alec when he was a resident at CMC, such a funny guy! you are missed Alec my condolences to the family I can't imagine how much y'all must miss him!

To the family, I express condolences. Now Alec has the opportunity to be chosen as one of those "meek" ones who the Lord , at Matt 5:5, says will someday inherit the earth. Respectfully yours, GH

Peace to his wife and sons. He was a gentleman. Microbiology would not have been memorable without him. You all are thought of often and will not be forgotten.

WOW...cant believe he passed away! I use remember when I was a teenager in Hallandale FL, I use to hang out with him at a furniture store that he and his wife owned, and help them around the store. He was so nice. Here Iam just browsing threw the internet 16 years after I last seen him, and find out the news of his death. He was a role model, and gave me good advice. Well for what its worth Alec, I'm happily married, have 2 smart boys, and im a 5 time War vet in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan....
