Alec Richard Temoyan October 24th, 1991 – April 11th, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alec, who departed this world on April 11, 2024. Alec was born on October 24, 1991, in Wynnewood, PA. He was a cherished son of Richard and Debra, a beloved brother to Madeleine and Cameron, the grandest of grandsons to Armand & Joan Temoyan, Bradford & Anne Smith - a devoted nephew, dear cousin, fierce friend, and respected teacher. Alec graced the lives of many with his warmth, wisdom, and boundless love.
Alec’s unwavering dedication to his loved ones was matched only by his insatiable thirst for knowledge and adventure. From an early age, Alec displayed a remarkable intellect and curiosity about the world around him. He engaged life with profound philosophical insight, questioned established thought, and challenged others to do the same.
Alec was a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College (2013), where he pursued his passion for philosophy and history. He later earned a Master of Education from Cabrini University (2018), furthering his commitment to shaping young minds and fostering a love of learning. As a teacher, Alec was a source of inspiration to his students, instilling in them a sense of curiosity, critical thinking, and compassion.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Alec was a true renaissance man. He shared his compassion for others through thoughtful craft and infused into each project unique beauty and creative vision with skilled and loving hands. A consummate gaming enthusiast, Alec delighted in the immersive worlds and intricate narratives that captured his imagination. And where they fell short, he would build his own for his friends to explore and share in his creation. For Alec, life’s enjoyment was truly found in the little things - he never met a giftshop he could pass up, nor end a trip to the shore without the obligatory tins full of fudge and kettle corn. A connoisseur of comfort, Alec committed to his own principles for living life knowing such luxuries were not always certain.
Alec's vibrant presence enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, laughter, and intellectual curiosity will continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of those he leaves behind.
A celebration of Alec's life will be held on Friday April 19, 2024 at St. John Vianney Church (350 Conshohocken State Road, Gladwyne, PA). Visitation from 9:00-10:30am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial to follow at West Laurel Hill Cemetery (225 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA). All who knew Alec are welcome to join us in honoring his remarkable journey and sharing cherished memories.
Donations in Alec’s name can be made to Franklin & Marshall College.
Alec will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness and wisdom.
