CLINTON
Alec R. Winn, 22, died Friday, October 11, 2013 in Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He leaves his mother, Tracy (Gardner) Winn, of Clinton; two brothers: Cory G. Winn and Gregory S. Winn of Clinton; his godparents, James and Evelyn Salmon, of Clinton; and his many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Stephen J. Winn, who died in 2005, his paternal grandparents, Roger E. and Josephine A. (McNally) Winn, and his maternal grandparents, Panaiota "Yodie" (Chiamis) Gardner, and Leland L. Gardner.
Born in Worcester and raised in Clinton, Alec was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 2009. He was currently attending Wyotech in Ormond Beach, FL, where he was scheduled to complete his studies in Motorcycle and Off-road Mechanics, this December. Al was looking forward to coming home to Clinton, to be reunited with his family and friends, and was anxious to begin his career.
A member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Alec was happiest fishing or riding his motorcycle, and loved all the great celebrations with his large, and loving family. He will remain forever in our hearts, our "Al the Pal."
Alec's funeral will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday, October 17, 2013, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to: The Billy Winn Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Avidia Bank, 1071 Main St., Clinton, MA 01510, or to Clinton High School, 200 W. Boylston St., Clinton, MA 01510.
