Not sure what to say?

Alec was a fine example to those of
us younger than he as we were engaged in our organ and music studies. His background as an English choir boy served as an anchor as he later trained his own
choirs. His pamphlet, “What We Should Expect From Young People”
was one-of-a-kind and was a wealth
of information and guidance for
all choirmasters, old and young.
There was never anyone in the
American Episcopal Church who
set such high standards. ...

Alec was my organ teacher at Union during 1961-63 (I was Carol George then). Such a warm person, and so giving of his time and talents. He always told me, "The only thing you can count on is the practicing you have done." How true! I knew I would never again play an organ like the one at the Cathedral, and preparing my master's recital with him was a true blessing. May he rest in well-deserved peace.

Alec Wyton was an incredible man, a master teacher, and a virtuoso organist. My contact with him as a teacher and a friend informed much of my musical life during that period. Now he is finally able again to be free.

Richard: My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the death of your father. May he rest in peace.

Mary I just want to let you know what a wonderful service Alec had. I just know he was with us. What a beautiful smile you had on your face because you "believe" that your sweetie is now with our Lord and is happy and feeling good. Mary you are truly an angel. It was such a great afternoon sure did not seem like we were there for 2 hrs. I love you and I will be seeing you soon.
love Maria T.
