ALEKSANDRA "ALEXANDRA" MATZNER

MATZNER, Aleksandra (Alexandra) Born Markiewicz, died in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones on July 30, 2021, at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughter Karen, her son-in-law Alain, and her two grandsons, Enio and Raphael. She was born in Poland and came to Canada after surviving the Holocaust. After marrying to Joseph in 1961, she immigrated to The United States. Alexandra and Joseph were married for 46 happy years. Alexandra was an accomplished radiologist who practiced in and around Boston. She loved to travel and collect art from all over the world. Her favorite destinations were South East Asia and Africa. She loved Polish food, especially flaki, pierogis and kielbasa. She had a passion for gardening. Graveside services at the Temple Emanuel of Andover Cemetery in Lawrence (202 Mount Vernon Street) on August 4, 2021 at 2pm, followed by a Shiva at the home of Karen & Alain beginning at 5:30pm.
