Alex Nathan Amundson, 21, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 11, 2010 as a result of an auto accident. He was born on August 7, 1988 in Provo, Utah to Bryan Edward and Jana Eileen Johnson Amundson. Alex grew up in Spanish Fork, attending high school at Spanish Fork High. He enjoyed music, snowboarding, and golf. He was employed by KFC. His fun-loving ways and friendly manner will be missed by all. Alex loved his family and was a friend to many. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was looking forward to serving a mission. Alex is survived by his parents, Bryan and Jana Amundson; four brothers and one sister, Brady, Joel, Erik, Adam, and Paige Amundson; grandparents, Fred and Edith Amundson, Roy, UT; James & Joni Saxton, Payson, UT; and Nate & Betty Johnson, Fresno, CA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, and an uncle, Wes Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon View Stake Center, 989 South 2550 East, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. We will miss his big bear hugs.
