I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Al Johnson. I worked for him on 3 separate occasions in our lives, first in Vietnam, second helping him set up PM-IEW at Vint Hill Farms, VA, and third helping him extend the reach of the starting-up JBM as vice president of a subordinate company in Huntsville, AL. I came to be Alex's friend. He was a man always dedicated to whatever was in front of him--a bulldog when a problem confronted him but always a gentleman when friends approached,...

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Johnson, (Alex) for several years, working alongside him at JBM. He was a fine, delightful and very family-oriented gentleman. He treated employees at JBM as his extended family. He would greet us each morning, sometimes coming by telling us about his life in the military and how his family members were doing. He loved his family, so dearly. Mr. Johnson was truly missed when he retired, and now he will be truly and sadly missed forever. I will personally...
