Not sure what to say?

Words can not. express our condolences. There can be no greater pain than to lose a child. Alex was a great great kid and his family should be proud! We are proud to have known him.

Dear Knafla family. I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Alex. I was Alex´s math teacher at AIM High School. His sense of humor and lightheartedness brought joy and laughter. I will always remember Alex as a good -hearted and very special young man. Please accept my deepest condolences.

My heart goes out to all of Alex's family and friends. Most of the time he attended AIM HS I was his principal and had a lot of great conversations about life and futures and friends. He had an innate ability to be a leader (good and bad!) so we continued to work on the good that we knew he had inside. Our staff always appreciated students who challenged us, as we saw it as a sign of intelligence and yet also a need for direction and support. Alex was loved by his friends and family which...

What I love and remember most about Alex was his thoroughly contagious smile....his entire face would light up for a big laugh, eyes closed tight for extra expression....with a bit of mischief to his grin ;). He was easy going and always active at play when the kids were young. Each year at the block party, all the neighborhood kids would group together, play games, and enjoy the freedom to roam the empty streets. Alex would be right along leading the pack, riding bikes as fast as his legs...

Alex and I met my sophomore year of high school. He came to my house and we had so many laughs. We didn´t always see eye to eye but that is teenager life. Alex was always the life of the party and excited to meet new people. Rest in peace. Sending so many hugs and prayers to his family.

Hey, I´m sorry to hear about this. I didn´t really speak to him after we left the WYA back during 2020. If anyone would like to just call me and talk, even if it´s just to get things off their chest, my Number is 509-987-4839. I know I´m a long way from Washington right now and would have done anything to be there for Alex. Rest easy brother, you´ve earned it.
