Not sure what to say?

Dear Alex and Babs - I am looking at that sweet picture of the two of you and remembering the great RUEBU Conferences at Ashfore, CT. We had such precious fellowship with you and still support in prayer and gifts the ministry of Slavic Missionary Service. Your legacy lives on in your children, grand children and the greats.

Saddened to hear of Alex's passing!! We know he is in a better place and with his beloved Babs!! Loved our Missionary Conference's in Ann Arbor at Grace Bible Church and all of his wonderful stories of God's grace through all of his travels in Russia and preaching there and the distribution of Bibles. Such a wonderful man of God!! Roger and Wilma Luurtsema

In the 70-80's,I attended GBC in AA,MI,USA and always enjoyed your visits during the Missions conferences. Your amazing stories of Gods provisions and guidance across the borders still live on as I share them to those who need to know God is relevant and still performing miracles. Enjoy Gods embrace :) well done Alex!

Whenever Pastor Leonovich would speak or sing at Grace Bible Church in Ann Arbor,it was with the power and fervent love for the gospel. He would stir my heart to see the lost through God's eyes and to renew a fervor for the lost and their salvation. I'll never forget his booming voice but gentle spirit, his laughter and joyful heart. We were so blessed to have Alex speak in our home for a missionary coffee with unsaved neighbors present.

Alex was always so inspiring to me when he would come and speak to us at Grace Bible Church. His love for the Russian people during the dark days of the USSR was so beautiful. We all loved to hear how with love and courage he would go and witness to his people. Such a follower of Christ was he!!! Janet Pickel

Alex was what I would call my spiritual
father. He helped me so very much. He was
very passionate and loving. Always there to encourage me.I shall miss him.
But I'm glad he is with His Saviour.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Grandpa, you were the most extraordinary, loving, compassionate person Ive ever met; Im proud to call you my Grandfather. You have taught me SO much about what it means to love, be selfless, to give, just as Jesus did. I will miss you SO much, more than I can express. Thankyou Grandpa for giving me not only my physical life, but my spiritual life. One day I shall see you again, home in heaven. xoxo

Alex was a dear friend of our church and me as pastor. He was the model of a Christian leader and I loved my time with him. He was a man of God. I cannot be there for the service but I will thinking of him and the family this day. I will miss him so much.
