During a weekend just before July 4th in 1972, Butch and I, my cousin Rudy Sullivan and his then girlfriend Patty DePhillipo, went camping in Hickory Run State Park.
It was drizzling when we left Philly but we were optimistic. The weather forecast was good and we had a car full of camping gear and food, enough to last the 4 days we planned to be away. We pitched the tent in a light rain and first thing Saturday morning made our way to the "Boulder field." It is exactly what it sounds...
