Alex Isayah Ortiz, 15, of Chicopee left us unexpectedly and suddenly on July 7, 2019.
Alex was loved by all who knew him and was known for his infectious smile and sports prowess as well as his genuine kind and respectful nature.
Alex leaves behind his devoted mother, Jean Vance of Chicopee, his beautiful sister, Jayda-Lei and his ever supportive Nana, Leslie Vance; his Green Bay Packers buddy, Gramma Lois, his Papa, Doug Vance and his wife Gramma Nancy; his aunts Stephanie and Dena Vance; his extended family, Uri and his sons Chris and Elijah Santiago and his ever jovial uncle Greg, uncle Jeff, uncle Justin; his father Jonathan.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of Alex’s classmates, teammates and coaches from Chicopee Comp football, basketball and lacrosse for their overwhelming and generous showing of love and support. Your presence has been a great source of comfort in this devastating time.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2019 in the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Alex to The Alex Ortiz Memorial Fund through any branch of Peoples Savings Bank.
