Alex "Bo" Willis was born April 24, 1924 in Stamps, Arkansas to the late Willie Jones and Mary Scott. He moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1942 where he was a driver for the sanitation department for many years. Alex was a member of Cottrell Chapel CME Church and was fondly known as "Bo", by family and close friends. Bo made his transition from his earthly home to eternal life, on Friday November 30, 2012, in the comfort of his brother Solomon Willis's home.
He was married and predeceased by three wives: Clara B., Lorene and Doris Willis; One brother, Elijah "Buddy" Willis; his parents and his step children that he helped to rear Antionette and George Green.
Bo is survived by one brother, Solomon (Bro) Willis, of Hot Springs, AR; one sister Willie Mae Easter, of Hot Springs, AR. While Alex had no known biological children of his own he was like a father to and helped to rear his god children: Delinda Franklin (Gordon), Eloise Davis (Jeff), Azolete Green, Diane Walker (Charles) Carolyn Green-Haynes and Prince Green, Jr.; Seven God grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Cottrell Chapel C. M. E. Church with pastor Geraldine McDaniel Officiating. His earthly body will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery with professional care provided by Brandon's Mortuary, Inc.
