Not sure what to say?

Fortunate to have met Alex at some annual holiday events. His generosity was magnificent. He will be remembered as a champion of music. May his memory live on in all who knew him....

I am just learning of Alex´s passing. I knew him through my role in the education department at the Kennedy Center. He was generous with his time and support, acting as a keynote speaker for our arts education programs. He will be missed.

I was a classmate of Alex´s from the first through the fifth grade. I loved his restless spirit and his kindness. I will never forget the time he brought me home and I met his father who rose from his seat in his robe gave Alex the largest, most all-enveloping fatherly bearhug I had ever seen or will ever see. The room was filled with cigarette smoke and love. Rest in peace both of you and thank you from all of us.

Lots of memories freshman year in Wigglesworth....Monday night football, pizza and poker sure . I came to Cambridge with Led Zeppelin and David Bowie and Alex turned me on to Myles Davis and Herbie Hancock. RIP, my man.

I was friends with Jamie and I remember Alexander when he was just a sweet, funny and smart little boy. I have always admired how close he and Jamie and Nina were. I send my condolences and may his memory be a blessing. Love, Lucy Watson

What a tragic loss! His contributions to education, his role in the family's foundation will live on. My condolences to Ja

Alexander.... I don´t believe it. Sweet, generous, kind, funny, thoughtful, considerate, talented, sweet - oh, I said that already. We were in NYU´s English Education Masters degree program. Of the 36 credits that create a Masters degree, Alex and I were in the same class for 24 of them. That creates a sense of ease and comfort, and we had that, Alex and I, as Alex did with many of our classmates. He was so easy to like. I really feel sad about this. I am glad he got the chance to...
