I’m sure that each of us had a unique and personal image of the man that I called “Dad”. I can remember him as this giant of a man with the rough hands who would take his three boys for a long walk down Argyle Street on Sunday morning and point out the things in nature that he found of interest. As a young man he was well read. And how he loved to fish. He knew every lake and fishing hole within a twenty-mile radius of Jackson.

Sometimes I find it hard to comprehend how...

Aunt Helen, Michael and Judy, Allen, Jim and Peggy and entire family,
Uncle Al was a great guy! I will always remember his big smile and warm heart! It was on yearly childhood visits to Jackson which I remember him being so warm, kind and fun to be around.
My mom always referred to Uncle Al as "the kiddies Pal". We all know he was so much more than that. A devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. You are all in our prayers at this difficult time.

Dear Aunt Helen, Allen, Mike and Jim,

I was so sorry to hear about uncle Al's death. He certainly will be up there with my Dad and all the family who have gone before him. Wish I could get home for the funeral but I will not be able to.
