To Al's Family,
My sincere condolence on the loss of your father/brother/grandfather, I just became aware of his passing, today.
He was a very special man to his family and the world, I know he will be missed.
But, I do know he is with our Lord today and forever...

My condolences to the famly of Al. Al was my hero and go to guy while I was President of NARL in 2002-2004. He was always ready to do what was needed for the club.
Thank you Al, I will miss you.
Stephen (W1UTQ) Taylor

My sincere condolences to the family during this time of grief.

I was a member of the Newington radio club (NARL) and worked with Al there;, however, I had met him several years prior - he was a very good friend of my fathers (Harold Chase - W1EES - SK) - they both received their amateur radio licences in 1932 and could talk forever on past experiences and friends.

Al seemed to know everyone. If we ever needed a speaker for one of our Club meetings, Al would say "Let me see...

My heartfelt condolences to Al's family on his passing. I only knew Al from his participation in the Newington local ham radio club, where he was a past officer, patient and kind mentor, humble award winner, and inveterate kibitzer. He managed the club's mailing list right up to the very end, and was a man of his word. He will be sorely missed. Godspeed, W1FXQ, SK.

Al was a long-time participant in activities of The Bunch Of Old Broadcasters (BOOBs) and presided over frequent programs with them at The Newington Kiwanis Club. We fondly remember him particularly for embedding our memories with his immortal jingle, "Arthur, Arthur, Arthur... Open All The Time -- Always Open, Never Closed". His humor will be sorely missed at the regular functions that he often attended.

Al Cohen a remarkable man who gave & asked nothing in return. He will be missed by all who knew him. He called me from his hospital bed to be sure all was done for the Ngtn Memorial Day Parade. Always had a joke, always helping others. I'll miss his phone calls & emails. What a loss! Ken O'Brien

I'm sorry for your loss. He was a great friend to my father, Al Kadden, and I know they really enjoyed each other's company.
