Not sure what to say?

Sandy was a close friend from the moment we met, when he was a freshman in college and I was a junior. He had a great heart, great grace; he was one of the funniest, freest people I've known. Our lives, our marriages, took us in different directions; I wish we had reconnected in his last years. I'm glad he had the best life possible with a loving wife and caregivers. He had a huge presence; my sympathy goes to all of you in your loss.

My sympathies, Wendy.

Sandy was a friend of my parents who became my friend. He was funny and irreverent. I learned a lot from him and I will miss him.
