Not sure what to say?

Hello Joan. It's been many years since I have seen that familiar photo of Al, but my memories are so very clear. I was privileged to be Al's Executive Assistant for 2 years in the late 1970's. Al was a marvelous teacher and leader for Parks Canada as we were integrated into the Department of Environment. My two years with Al were the most significant of my career, and shaped the attitude I have always brought to the field of conservation. I will always think of Al as a great Canadian and...

I thank Al for his support over the years and his support for my two years with Unesco in Paris

I worked for Parks Canada during Mr. Davidson'a tenure as Assistant Deputy Minister. He was a mensch, a Yiddish term meaning a person of integrity and honour.

Hey Al, R.I.P my old friend. I'll miss our driveway talks. Deepest sympathies to All the family. Kevin

Dear Joan,

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. He was an inspiration to me and just a great guy to work for. A gentle transforming leader.

To the entire Davidson family: Our deepest condolences. Joan and Al were very good friends. Joan's devotion and love for Al were palpable. I will miss our coffee dates at Timmy's. We had so many interesting talks. I always left Al having learned something. He was so knowledgeable. Nita and Ron Harcourt

I only knew Al from curling at the RCN Curling Club but will always remember him as being a true gentleman. Please accept my condolences.
