Not sure what to say?

Hi Lee, I was talking to a friend today about choir and whenever I do, I am bound to gush about you and your greatness. Next month it will be 18 years since you were taken far too early. You should only be hitting 70 years old. I think back about the last 18 years and all the times I wished I could ask you for advice but unfortunately, that is not to be. I was talking to my father the other day about Reynolds and the music programs, and the drive you had to improve them, to make people...

Lee was my piano teacher one quarter at Lewis and Clark. We practiced Schumann´s Klein study. Thirty years later I just bought a piano for my daughter. I hadn´t played since college. I ordered a book of Schumann and sat down and played the song Lee taught me.

Tomorrow is 15 years. I wish you were here.

I heard the Beethoven Choral Fantasie today and remembered Lee's performance at Peabody. I was
very impressed.
I enjoyed knowing Lee. He was a good friend

Lee was my piano teacher in the mid 80's while I was in middle school. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was so enthusiatic and very kind. Before he introduced a piece for me to practice, he would perform it for me first - it was my favorite part of lessons. Just magic!

Hi Alfie, it's been almost 10 years since you left us. I was talking to a friend tonight about her son's choir teacher and all the great memories I have of you from middle school through high school. You always pushed all of us towards greatness and I want to thank you for that. I miss you terribly, you were an amazing teacher, mentor and friend.

Wrote a piano concerto for me, I still have it. What a paassionate man, in every sense of the word.
We know one another briefly and he made an amazing impression on my life.

I had welcomed Alexander in my little town, near Calais for a concert. It was sold out, Alexander played Schumann, Schubert...It was a great success...In the afternoon, I had welcomed him at home not in an hostel...We have spent the afternoon together, he fad played on my little piano at home before the dinner. He was very happy. It is agreat souvenir for me and for the audience here. Thanks !

I called him Uncle Alfie. He was my choir instructor from 6th grade through high school. He was a great mentor and a wonderful, amazing man. I think about him often, even now, and miss him greatly.
