GALLETLY Alexander Walker (Scotty), 94, of Passaic passed away peacefully at home with loved ones, July 11, 2009. Alexander's longevity was a blessing to all who were part of his life, which was highlighted by 72 years of marriage to his surviving spouse, Edna Mae Offord. Loving father to William of Fords, May LoCascio and her husband Salvatore of Passaic, and Linda Dianas-Kleinkopf and her husband Allan of Clifton. Best known as "Pop" to his beloved grandchildren Debra Porcu-Martinez and her husband Holvin, Joanne Dianas Brunell and her husband Thomas, Salvatore LoCascio Jr. and wife RuthAnn, Darlene Majer and husband Joseph, James LoCascio and wife Cinthya, Michael Galletly and Kim Galletly.His clan extended to thirteen great grandchildren, Giannina and Mark Porcu, Sebastian and Seth Brunell, John LoCascio, Amanda, Vanessa and Angelina Majer, Jimmy, Sabrina, Joseph, Frank, and Matthew LoCascio.A dedicated and valued employee, he worked as a truck driver for Waldrich/Delarich Chemical Company for 54 years. He maintained additional part time jobs for many years at Howe Ave Garage and Zangara Brothers, as his priority in life was to provide for his family. He was a member of Teamster Union Local 560. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Passaic for 81 years having the distinction of longest and oldest member of the congregation. He belonged to the international order of Foresters and Clan Scott # 231.He is predeceased by siblings William, James, Jessie and Elizabeth Galletly, as well as, William, David and Robina Walker. He is survived by his sister Annie Kaplan of Alabama and many nieces and nephews.The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to Hospice and most especially to his devoted caretakers Ileana, Paulina and Joan.Funeral will be held at the Powell-Marrocco Funeral Home, 470 Colfax Ave, Clifton on Weds., July 15th at 10 AM.
