Dear Philip and family
We are so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was such a good man and a very fine person. We tried very hard to find your phone number so we could tell you how sorry we were by telephone. We finally realized we could e-mail you which is a good way for us to express our condolences. We wanted so badly to attend the funeral but I am using a walker and it is difficult for me to get out.We do hope we can talk with you soon. Our phone number is 504-885-5634. Your good friends, Lynne and Chuck de Blois.

Phil and Family, I knew your dad from the many stories Eddie shared over the years about Mr. Al. You all have a great legacy to hold on to. Support and love on one other. Take it one day at a time. May God keep you strong as you go through this difficult time. My thoughts are with you..

I often reminisce on the time we shared together on Devine St. The memories of his time and experiences in the navy. The fond memories of him growing up in New Orleans. Because of him I can splice rope in my sleep. Mr Al always had a good sprit about him. I admired his patience, work ethic and kindness. The peace of God be with you all.

Mister Al was an excellent neighbor for years as he lived next to me. Always looking for fishing spots to go or projects he would get me into. Such a lust for life and kindness towards everyone. Never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. Gonna miss you Twinkie.
