Not sure what to say?

My Brother from another mother Alex will always be in heart...I miss my best friend.

Its been four years now, where has the time gone my friend. It seems like yesterday for some reason, time truly stops for no one! I still think of you, Marcy and the boys quite often. Its easy to remember an exceptional family and an exceptional friend. Families such as yours dont come along very often my friend. I still have a photo of Alex Jr. and my daughter Shanyn on Sherwoods prom night on my coffee table. I look at it quite often and think of all the great times are families had...

Where has the time gone? Three years since your passing has gone so fast! I often think of you Alex, Marcy and the boys. I miss the times our families spent together. Our kids grew up together, went to school together, played sports together and were on the Olney swim teams together. They spent time at each others homes, had sleep overs and ate many a meal together! We all went to Hershey Park together, in a small way both our families grew up together. Alex, in his own way was the glue to...

Just found out today about your passing. Alex I have so many memories on Childrens Island with you, Jay Henry, Pete Sawin and many many more. I remember so clearly our trips to Mount Chocorua. During those times I looked to you as my role model, my mentor. You taught me so much about outdoor adventure and life. You always seemed to have a answer to the problems that we faced during those times. I look forward to seeing you again climbing that big mountain in the sky. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Alex when I signed on at Children's Island in 1975. Just found out today of his passing while, ironically, visiting Children's Island. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

I met Alex the first day on the job. The head of the Migrant ED Office at the time kept on telling me he couldnt wait for "the new guy" to come on board as he had a stellar reputation and he was going to be to rescue the Office. Well Alex didn't disappoint he quickly got to work and turned the office around. He did it through hard work, long hours, and lots of communication with his staff. In short order he got staff into believing not only that they could do the work but that it would be...

My heartfelt condolences to Alex's family and all who knew him at the US Department of Education. I had the pleasure of working for Alex for 5 years at the US Department of Education. He always provided me with opportunities to grow and learn, and was an excellent leader, motivator, and change agent for OESE. It was a pleasure knowing you Alex.

I was saddened to hear that Alex had passed. Having worked with him during his time in the Department of Education's Office of Migrant Education, I found him to be extremely capable, conscientious, task oriented, and focused with a strong sense of duty. It was my good fortune to have known and worked with Alex. May the Goniprow family be comforted by the outpouring of sympathy and love provided by Alex's many friends and colleagues.
