Al Gricus was my Godfather and a friend to my family, going back to my grandmother, Mary Yeskutis. He was also a lifelong friend to my mother, Alberta Yeskutis Hartford, who was born in Brighton and lived originally on Kelley Court. As my Godfather, of course, he was a friend from the beginning. Throughout my childhood he always remembered me at my birthday and Christmas, at my first Holy Communion and confirmation. I will always be grateful for that. But even more than that, he was a...

My deepest sympathy to the Gricus Family. It was always a great joy to see Al at the many community events we held at Harvard. I looked forward to his "secret handshake" and his warm smile. It was a pleasure to know Al. May he rest in peace.
