For many years we were Alex's customers at the Express Cafe. It was always a pleasure to visit and enjoy his "specials", particularly in October when he made Oktoberfest dishes reminiscent of European fare. In fact Alex made me my own special plate which we named the "Barbara Plate". All I would have to do is ask for it and he knew what to do. We were very sad when he told us his diagnosis because we knew he had had pain and had been prevented from skiing--which was a disappointment. We...

Terri and family;
We were so sorry to hear of Alex's passing. I was always impressed by his strength and ability to give it the good fight. We will miss his visits at the cabin and Labor Day weekend will always be a special reminder of Alex and the good times.
