On behalf the Department of Pharmacology at Loyola of Chicago, I would like to offer condolences to Dr. Karczmar's family and friends. Although I did not know him, having been here only 3 years, I have heard many of the faculty talk of him. Dr. Karczmar was a scholar and a friend to many of our faculty and is appreciated and remembered here at Loyola where he contributed for so many years.
