Sorry that I couldn't be there. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet Alex. He was a very kind person.

We little knew that day God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you.
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you.

Alex was such a wonderfully brilliant, generous, creative person. He will always be remembered for his kindness, compassion and his wonderful smile that lit up any room he was in.
Anyone who came in contact with him shares those same sentiments.
My love and prayers go to Glen, Karen and Gabe. I know he loved you all so much.

Love Always,
Amanda, Ellie and D.J.

Dear Glenn, Karen and Gabe,
Keith and I wanted to let you know how sorry we were to learn of Alex's passing. When Keith told me today (Monday), I was shocked and saddened. During this past weekend, my thoughts turned to the two of you. I can't tell you why you came to mind because we haven't seen each other in years, but something brought you to me and unfortunately, now I know why. Alex must have wanted you to have as many loving friends around you as possible. Someone to jog your...

Alex was good friends with my partner, Jesse, since they met at Grant High School. We shared many good times together, and had lots of great conversations about lofty things like literature and philosophy, and the simpler things in life that Alex loved like graffiti art and his kitty, Oscar. Jesse and I will miss him much. My condolences and love go out to Alex's friends and family.

I consider Alex to have been my best friend growing up. He had a major role in shaping the person I am today, and I have too many good memories from those times. It's truly sad to hear that he has passed. Although we walked separate paths in our later years, I still cherish the time that I had with Alex. My condolences go out to Karen, Glenn, and Gabriel, who were my second family for a good portion of my youth. My thoughts are with you.

I am a friend of Alex´s from high school. Though we have drifted apart over the years, he will always hold a very special place in my heart. The memories I have of him are all happy, with him smiling and making jokes. He was truly a brilliant soul who brought smiles to many. My deepest sympathies.
