Not sure what to say?

I met Alec while we were in the General College at the U of M around Freshman year and had a bunch of classes together. I hadn't seen him in many years and found out about his passing when I was looking him up online. My condolences to his family.

Alec and I met while we worked at Norwest Investments in the late 1990's and we dated for about a year. I remember his dogs and that his favorite movie was "Jeffrey" with Patrick Stewart (though he would also watch Xena with me). I can't believe that it has been 10 years since his passing or 20 years since we worked together.

I have quite a few memories of playing youth sports with Alec. Things that I remember about Alec include the nickname that everyone called him (Booger), the horses at his parents' property, and the fact that he moved a lot around the country to attend various boarding schools. I want to extend my sympathies to his family for their loss.

I have a funny memory related to Alec which inspired a catchphrase that I ended up using at later jobs. One day when I was at Norwest, Alec wanted to speak to me and said "step into my office". What was humorous about this was that his "office" was a cubicle in a sea of other cubicles. While that came across as somewhat pretentious at the time (given that he was in a serious mood), I later incorporated the "step into my office" line as a means of humor at future jobs in which I had my own...

Alec a part of who I am today is because of you.

Wish we could have kept in contact after WFI

I will miss you and always remember you!

Lori and Gerry, kindly accept my belated condolences for the passing of our son Alec. I met Alec in 1999 and worked for him for 3 years. He was a great manager and friend. I lost his contacts a while ago and fe years back I was told he had moved to Guatemala. For the last 2 month, I have ben wondering how has he been and life in Guatemala and today I reached to a friend in Minneapolis who shared with me the sad news of Alec passing away. Alec inspired and gave me the energy and the drive to...

I was just trying to send Alec an email message. Alec lived with Warren, myself and our kids while he was going to the UofM and working at Penn Cycle. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We all loved Alec. We are beyond words. He called Warren last summer and we were reaching out to him today and his email bounced back.

Lori,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss.
I looking forward to your visiting
Minneapolis. I never knew Alec but
he appeared to be a very kind and sensative man who loved animals.
Love,
Laurel

Lori and Gerry, I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious son. You were
kind, sweet parents who deeply loved him and lost him much too young. I have adorable pictures of Alec and you together and am so happy I knew him
and had the opportunity to love him too! United in friendship, my prayers are with you now and always.
