Your father was my son's instructor that helped him earn his God and Country award a few years ago. He has in one way or another contributed to his soon to be earned rank of Eagle Scout. He will be missed in the Scouting community.

I was saddened to read of your father's and husband's death. I met Alex at Winthrop College when we were both earning our MBA's and had a few classes together. He was employed with Family Dollar Stores and they were in "hiring mode". He suggested I interview as a buyer trainer, when I graduated in August of '77. Much to my surprise, they hired me! It was my first "real" job. I spent almost 5 years with Family Dollar Stores from 1977 -82 in Matthews, NC. To this day, I have one remaining...
