I just heard of Alex's death. I had a career in the RCMP and both went up against Alex as well as seated next to him while he defended me! I will always remember his kindness towards me when I really needed help. He will always be a hero in my mind. I am sorry that I was unaware of his illness and was so sorry and shocked with the news of his death. I may have been the first RCMP member he defended back in 1983.
