Age 25 born April 13, 1993 of Birmingham, Alabama. He was called by his Heavenly Father on April 14, 2018. He attended Holy Family Catholic School, John Carroll Catholic High School, Jacksonville State University, and Lawson State Community College where he received Honors on the Dean's List. He was Executive Director of Kids First Developmental Academy, Inc. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gloria M. Tompkins, Albert Tompkins, Jr., and Lillian S. Coleman. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents; Albert B. and Charlene C. Tompkins, His Cherished Sister; Bianca G. Tompkins, Aunt, Second Mother and Best Friend; Yolanda G. Tompkins, Uncle; Charlie Coleman (Tanisha) and Grandfather; Charlie Coleman, Jr. and a host of relatives, family and friends. Viewing will be held Farida, April 20, 2018 at Roberts Funeral Home (1337 Bessemer Road, Birmingham 35208), family will receive friends 7-8pm. Funeral service will be held Saturday 12:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in Elmwood Mausoleum. Roberts Central Park Chapel, directing.
