Not sure what to say?

Professor V, was one of my frequent instructors at Wentworth while I attended from 1986-1990. HE was well known and respected by all of us. the memory and story I tell my own college-age children now involved his exams.... He was alwasy known for throwing curve balls come test time "tests shown be a learning experience not a regurgitation of memory" needless to say some of those curve balls fly right past some students. I remember walking up to turn my test in adn walked by another...

Rereading the obituary for Alex today, I grateful that so many lives along Alex's way were enriched by his kindness and generosity. Much love continues to rise upward to him in his eternal rest. Thank you Mr Vanderburgh. xxxxx

Dear Ann, Fifi, and Lexi,
My father, Rollin Mayer, a good friend of your Dad's at MIT Project Whirlwind, just passed November 29th. I had mentioned Alex in his obit because Alex had referred to Rollin in a humorous way in his oral history at the Boston Museum of Science. They were quite a pair of pranksters! I worked for your Dad at Keydata in Rosslyn, VA during the mid 1970s as he commuted from your home base in Arlington, MA. I can therefore attest to his kindness, gentleness, great...

So sad to hear of your dad's passing, as my wife Patti & I had only recently learned of Edie's passing a year ago, during an exhibit of Quaker wedding certificates at Cambridge Friends Mtg., several of which I recognized as hers. Edie made ours 10 years ago (not on display) with 5 special houses, & insisted we donate to FMC vs. paying her, even for materials). I remember Alex as a formidable "weighty Friend" presence at FMC, with his "Dutch" beard & solemn demeanor, always in the front row...

Thinking of you my friend. You were such a gentle soul. Still in the habbit of walking by your room peeking in seeing if your alright. It's no longer room 205 it's Alex's room.

Dear Ann and Kelvin,

Please know that my heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you. Your father sounds like an extraordinary man. May his memory be a blessing now and always.

Much love,
